Pimp my Panda

When I was a kid, I really liked cool cars. My dad had a white Ford Mustang in the sixties and my mom had a red Volkswagon Bug with these enormous daisies all over it. I remember sitting in the back seat and being able to see the road pass under my feet. It was so rusted out that my mom said she put the daisies on it to cover up the rust!

Here in Italy, there are loads of old cars. Although, I would love to get my hands on a vintage Mustang, I would also be happy with a FIAT 500. Now that the Magic Panda is gone, it is being replaced with another one just the same. While I’m happy to have anything to drive, especially if I don’t have to pay for it with my meager teacher’s salary, I would still like to have a car that I can call “my own”.

You see, the way up to our “cottage” is on a very narrow road and not all cars can pass through. This is why I have often had to pimp my Panda to Mama. But clearly, there’s no stopping her and I am sure this new Panda will not stay intact for long if she gets behind the wheel again.

So, if anyone has a good deal on a sweet little FIAT 500, then give me a call! I will paint it red with white daisies and call her Patty (my mom’s name) 🙂 and most importantly…hide the keys from Mama!

Oh and by the way, my doctor called me a Saint today…he also knows Mama, hahahaha! Bless him 😉
