Oh this week has been so exciting! I have finally calmed down since Mama tried to run my car into another one because they were in her parking space…Oh, didn’t I tell you about that? Sorry, but my hands were shaking so bad after that episode I couldn’t type! Coco was on my lap and so I was literally pinned into the seat watching the event unfold in front of me. Nevertheless, I have sworn to never get in the car with her again.
Onto other things, I have somehow been scammed into taking an additional two hours of driving instruction. Ugh, I must have naive and desperate stamped my forehead this month. But, if all goes well, I will finally be legal to drive here by the first week of June, provided I pass the test! If I don’t pass, well let’s not even go there okay?
I hope you enjoyed my reblogged photos of our new dwarf Reggae sheep, Ziggy and Marley. Aren’t they adorable? It is turning into a regular petting zoo up in Portofino and I pray for the day that we get through the rest of the red tape that has been handed to us courtesy of the Italian government. Slowly, but surely I may in fact be able to call myself an Innkeeper for real (terrerosseportofino.wordpress.com)…or maybe just a glorified farmer/blogger. *le sigh
But the best part about my week has been my radio interview! I know! Radio! Me! I got an email from a writer in New York who asked if she could interview me about my blog and life as an expat in Italy. It will be a podcast and should be aired on the Internet radio station in a few weeks. How cool is that? She had some great questions and really did her research. I was impressed. Of course, after I got off the phone with her I thought of a million other anecdotes and witty crap that I should have said, but at least this time I didn’t say I missed snow, like in my last interview for the online magazine Local.it. That was a real DOH! moment I will not soon forget, haha.
So please stay tuned as I will post a link to the broadcast soon.
In addition, I just want to say a big thank you to all my readers out there. You guys have been my rock in this sea of pasta and pesto and I couldn’t have done it without you hitting that *like* button so many times 🙂
Brava Leah! Non vedo l’ora di sentirti!
