Funny Hamburgers and stuff

Many Italians confuse the words funny and fun. I am always trying to sort them out on what can be fun and what can be funny and I often hear phrases like “Oh, we had a very funny time at the party”. My most recent “funny” moment was when my cute Italian friend decided to make hamburgers for lunch. At 28, she’s a whiz in the kitchen so I was quite curious to see what her interpretation of a hamburger lunch would be…

Seems that I may need to transport her to the U.S.A. for some burger 101. There were no buns, ketchup, or any toppings for that matter. She bought pre-made patties and placed them on the grill with the plastic sheet still on them! Luckily, I was nearby and able to rescue the melted plastic from the meat before it took on a weird plastic cheese formation and ruined the burgers. Now, was that a funny moment or fun? hahaha. I guess that depends on whether or not we actually tried eating them with the plastic šŸ™‚
