I love Spring flowers :)

Ok, so aside from this lovely photo…I have just spent the weekend with Mama and my back is aching. She saw a plant that she wanted moved. It was raining and I was sweating with a broken shovel. It took us 45 minutes and three manly tools to finally dig up this plant and now she doesn’t know where she wants to put it. Sheesh!

It was a rather comical day however because everything here is upside down at the moment and she was trying to fill a bucket of water and the hose got away from her. You can just imagine the sight. She was yelling, there was a green hose in the air and water everywhere. Mama got soaked and her glasses flew off her head and into the garden below (they were covered in mud). She was not too pleased and I wish I had caught it on video. Anyway, one look at her and I burst out laughing. Sorry, I couldn’t help myself 🙂

I also had a boneheaded moment while I was clearing the debris from the olive grove. We had the trees pruned and so there are branches everywhere. I wasn’t paying attention and wham! I smacked the side of my head on a low olive branch. It’s not the first time I have ever done that…when will I ever learn?

Well that’s all my news for today…tomorrow morning we drive back. Hopefully Mama won’t take out another tail light. Poor Coco, I don’t think she enjoyed the ride up either. We had flowers in the back seat and when Mama gunned it onto the highway the flowers flipped over so she stopped in the emergency lane to straighten them out. I had Coco’s cage on my lap and was pinned in and unable to assist or protest at stopping in the emergency lane of a highway. I really hope the drive back tomorrow will be less eventful.

Oh, and one more thing. I re-write my exam this Tuesday. If ever there was an incentive to get my driver’s license, spending an hour in the car with Mama certainly motivates me more than you could ever imagine. And besides which I would like to live longer too!

Ciao tutti 😉
