Cacca is just that…Cacca

Okay, so my last post was obviously a rant. So let me now clarify the rest of the story because as usual, I’m always the last to know anything around here and now I feel a bit like a shit head.

As most of my readers know, Mama was here watching Coco while I sailed on the Triumph, which was famous for the poop cruise when the engine caught fire and they were adrift for three days with no plumbing. No kidding, the cacca seems to be everywhere these days.

Anyway, as I was saying, Mama was here. She will be 70 in November and aside from the fact that she seems indestructible and is able to move large pieces of furniture single-handedly, she also falls down a lot. I liken this to the fact that she doesn’t pay attention to where she is going and is always in a rush. She is also usually horizontal watching TV and so obviously if you get up too fast you should wait a minute to regain some balance in the vertical position, no?

While she was here, she apparently fell down outside, in the dark, while fetching some firewood. Well, first of all, it was early September and so the idea of making a fire in the house seemed a bit premature, so no one thought to bother to make it more easily accessible to her but why the heck was she doing it in the dark?

Secondly, she fell down again in the garden…this doesn’t surprise me much because I have seen her trying to get the figs off the tree with an umbrella hook while wearing her slippers and standing on the edge of a muddy ledge, ahem, enough said.

Thirdly, and this one is the one that makes me the shit head of the year, is that she fell down the stairs inside our house :(. Coco likes to chase my ankles sometimes while I walk down the stairs so I really hope that this is not the reason she fell. After she fell, she was a bit sore so she decided to camp out on the couch to rest.

The problem started when her cell phone rang and it was located upstairs. My sister-in-law tried calling several times and when she didn’t get an answer she drove the 45 minutes to get here to make sure her mother was okay. Hence, this is why we now have a new landline installed, which shall remain downstairs.

So, alls well that ends well I guess and I hold my head in shame for being such a shit head.
At least she wasn’t seriously hurt like when she broke her leg and arm a few years ago! And by the way, when she did, she was outside in front of her apartment and had forgotten her cell phone at home. She laid on the ground for about 25 minutes before someone saw her there 😦

  1. Awe….there always is another side of a story. Take care of Mamma. I am so appreciative for my family who rallied together for me when I broke (shattered) my foot. Mom
