Raggies don’t like bugs much

Has anyone else got a Ragdoll out there? I’m just curious if all Raggies are as particular as mine? Or did I get the high-maintenance Italian version who can tell the difference between Prosecco and Champagne?

Perhaps I’m responsible for spoiling her a bit too much as she is used to being the centre of attention ALWAYS!

Recently, I had a friend come and stay the night. This friend completely ignored Coco because, well she doesn’t dig cats much. Boy, that didn’t sit well with Coco at all. She was quite agitated about being put on the ignore file while I sipped Prosecco on the terrace with my new friend.

I tried to soothe her and after my friend left I noticed that once again, the litter box was empty. Oh come on…we aren’t going to play that game again are we? I spent over €500 in January trying to sort out a constipated cat at the vet’s! Seems she puckered up the butt cheeks in protest to me leaving her with Zio over the Christmas holidays.

But this time I’m here and am armed with four different types of food, what seems to be the problem now? I decided to investigate her sand box with hopes that maybe I missed something and there it was…a large centipede had intruded into the box and taken up residence. Now wonder my little fluff ball couldn’t poop! I wouldn’t have been able to either, hahaha. I hate those things!

I promptly dumped all the sand and put fresh stuff in and a minute later her Highness was dropping two days of saved up love-bombs.

This is more like it…sleeping contentedly, no more bugs to kill and the non-cat lady safely tucked away in another city.

Hmmm, I wonder how she will be tomorrow when three new friends arrive from Canada? I put her belly rub requests on order in advance just in case.

My cats are similar. Jake doesn’t like a soiled litter box. For heaven’s sakes! That’s what the boxes are for! Morgan has to eat all the bugs first. Hazel likes to splash the sides. I know, I know, too much information!

    • Oh my! Hahaha.
Coco likes to roll around in the fresh clean stuff and I scoop it everyday, which is why I have such a high poop alert system. I suspect that one of the reasons she got all backed up at Christmas was that her box was not up to her standards. Hard to ask the cat sitter to scoop the poop everyday…especially when the sitter is 72 years old!
Lets face it Kate, we have created little furry spoiled monsters, lol.
