I may get into some caca on this one…

I’ve decided that my skill at procrastination needed some fine-tuning today. The musty books are getting some fresh air and so am I. I have found a shady spot on the terrace that just had to be occupied by an able bodied lazy person and wouldn’t you know it, I fit the bill perfectly!

Yesterday, I overdid my enthusiasm for exploring shiny things in boxes and today, well, I’m pooped. Yesterday, I also had a creative surge that may have landed me in the caca pile when my husband gets home.

It all started like this:

And ended something like this:

It was black and ugly. I decided to paint it. I had painted it before, but always the same ugly black. So, I decided to jazz it up a bit…

But, I first consulted with my mom via email, but with the six hour time difference, I jumped in with both feet before waiting for her response. I used spray paint and created stripes using masking tape. What I didn’t factor in, was if the paint I used would be safe to use in a working fire place after they were modified to be more funky to look at. I really like how they turned out, but now I could be in some caca if my husband sees them. My mom replied to my email after I attacked these with my spray cans… hahaha.

I could start a whole new ad campaign kinda like that MILK ad, GOT MILK?
only mine would read, GOT PAINT?
All in a day’s journey…lets face it, if it wasn’t risky, it wouldn’t be any fun šŸ™‚
