Termites be gone!

Geez, I spent all day covering every wooden surface in the house and then returned after a three day lockdown and scrubbed all the floors and opened all the windows. Six days later, today, I went back to the house and wouldn’t you know it there were new piles of dust and holes on some of the doors I treated!

What does it take to kill a termite?

I spent the better part of my day putting a second product in the new holes (which gave me a headache), and then filled up with old holes with wax filler. There must be hundreds of these holes and this could take me the better part of July to fill them all.

I am on a mission to get rid of this termite problem but it is something I must do from a distance because I cannot have Coco in the house with all those awful poisonous products. Which makes me think what kind of brain damage am I causing to myself? Hmmmmm.

Hopefully, today was the last dose as although there were new piles of sawdust, I must say, I think I killed at least 90% of the critters as the piles were fewer and smaller. But as the story goes, you must eliminate all of them otherwise they will just multiply again 😦 *le sigh

What I would really like is a big glass of Chianti right now, but I have to wake up super early tomorrow for my first week of summer camp. Wish me luck, I think this week you can expect no posts as I will be leaving the house at 6:30 a.m. and arriving home 12 hours later. Lord give me strength, this is going to be a long week! And poor Coco will be alone all day and really pissed off at me for abandoning her, which means she will keep me up all night.
