Creepy Zio vs. Nice Zio

Oh, I know you are all sitting by the TV in anticipation of the soccer game with Italy vs.Spain but keep your shorts on…it doesn’t start for another hour. In the meantime, here’s a post to keep you busy 🙂

Being married to an Italian, I’ve acquired two Italian uncles. These uncles are not blood related because they are both spouses of Mama’s sisters. The first uncle is sweet and kind and reminds me of my Papa (my grandfather who passed away in 1995). The second  one is just creepy!

Today, we had a family lunch. It’s super hot here so I wore shorts. The entire day, creepy uncle stared at my legs and then looked at me like he was going to pounce on me any second. Any excuse to touch me and he was there…in fact, he asked me three times if I was planning on watching the soccer match then asked if I had a good TV! Ha! Over my dead body would I ever invite him to watch the match with me in my home. Luckily, Mama came to the rescue and told him to leave me alone, haha. Apparently, he has even gone as far as pointing out to my sister-in-law that they are NOT blood related! EEEWWWWW!

Now, let’s get back to Nice Uncle. My favourite uncle. He is the one who watches Coco when I go away. We share stories about her antics like she is his granddaughter. He loves her as much as I do! When I have any sort of problem at all…broken fridge, broken car, broken washing machine, etc. he is at my house in a heartbeat. How can you not love this man?

I could hang out with him all day. We eat too much dessert together and both fall sound asleep in our chairs after lunch. I trust him with my cat! What more can I say? Zio A is awesome and I love him dearly 🙂

Okay, go back to your soccer game, lets watch Super Mario kick some Spanish butt! Forza Italia!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
