Am I the only one who thinks the statue in my banner is scratching his head? If he is, I can totally relate because I think I look just like him most days (minus the buns of stone mind you). The longer I live the more befuddled I am.
befuddle [bɪˈfʌdəl]vb (tr) 1. to confuse, muddle, or perplex 2. to make stupid with drink.
My dad sent this to me in an email and I just had to share…
But seriously, today I took Mama for a road trip to Zoagli. I don’t know why, but I have a strange fixation on this village and I really want to live there. Weird I know, but I don’t recall making claims on normalcy lately either so deal with it.
Anyways, we had a pleasant drive along the winding roads and not once did she make for the brakes or call out my name in a panic. So all in all it was a nice adventure. I was equally impressed that she didn’t try and bum smokes off of some stranger on the street. It’s not like she can’t afford to buy cigarettes it’s just that she has convinced herself that if she doesn’t buy any then she won’t smoke, hmmmm, that logic is somewhat lost on the guy she’s offering a Euro for a cigarette.
Anyways, my day with Mama was much more fun than today. Please let me elaborate…I waited for 20 minutes in a local shop just to buy vacuum bags. Need I say more? La bella vita, blah, blah, blah. Time for some more Prosecco, no?
