A few months ago a friend posted on Facebook that she was venturing over to Nice, France for a day (it’s only a 2 hour drive from Genoa). Nice is one of my favourite cities and although her going meant that she would not be coming over to my place for dinner as originally planned, I was inclined to reply to her post with great enthusiasm and encouragement for her to go. And, secretly I was a bit jealous that she was going and not me.
But, there’s nothing like living vicariously through someone else’s adventures especially when you know the place they’re going to so well. I started an online exchange of Facebook emails with links to all my favourite spots and of course this included food! I love French food! And don’t tell my husband, but I think I like it better than Italian food.
Which brings me around to the title of this post: “Heaven on toast”=Rose Petal jelly. Yep, just like yesterday’s gelato, it’s made with real rose petals! And the taste is so subtle and sweet it melts in your mouth. Go ahead, try it, you’ll like it! They deliver : )
