Victory tastes sweet

Truth be told, I haven’t blogged lately because nothing much has jazzed my keyboard or deep-fried brain. With Mama in the hospital my infrequent visits have not supplied me with enough material I guess! Time to buck up and visit her more. For the record, she is doing super and she even let me zip her around in a wheel chair on my last visit! Now this is no small victory considering that only 2 weeks ago she wouldn’t even allow me to assist with getting her hair washed!

But the victories in my life just got sweeter when I found out that all those brats lovely Italian children I have been drilling English phrases to have ALL PASSED THEIR EXAMS! Considering that some of them drove me nuts and some of them were little sweethearts, I am quite proud of the fact that they did so well and somewhat shocked too.

But I’ll take what I can get in this tough, cruel world of ours and eat my rose petal gelato to celebrate just cuz I can : )
