Home sweet home

I can’t believe it but I am finally waking up to a Mama free house and there is still bread in the kitchen and the packet is still sealed like I left it yesterday! And now, I am going to do what every other good daughter in-law does and spend my Sunday with…drum roll please…………Mama and the family for lunch! I know, I am really turning into one of them. But the way I see it, I still need a new computer desk from IKEA and let’s face it, free Italian home cooking is hard to pass up on a rainy Sunday afternoon, so who’s laughing now fat man?

Coco and I have settled in quite nicely already and I love the idea that I can walk to work in 30 minutes and come home for lunch on a workday. Now if this rain would just stop I could do some laundry because I am running out of clean clothes and as everyone here doesn’t seem to think a clothes dryer is a necessity I am a bit perplexed that this trend has never caught on in rainy Genoa? Anyone care to shed some light on this question???

Ehm…It’s supposed to rain for at least 8 days…from now 😦
Anyway, let’s hope it’s not true, dear!

You can find dryers – they are just more expensive than buying a house is all…absolutely nuts! Anyhoo glad to see you are settling in well – maybe it is time to change the name of your blog???

  4. The blog name will remain. Mama will no doubt be a part of my life and drive me crazy even if I stop living with her so for now the name stays. She has become an Icon of this blog and what drives the force of wind behind my sails : )

So glad you are settling into your new digs and hopefully the rain will end soon and you can get alundry done. I would definitely be lost without a dryer.

i got a washer that dries too… it costed me 600 euros (1000$ cnd) and they gave me a 16″ TV as gift!!!! i have to say that having all in 1 unit is way better than having 2 (one cycle wash and dry if you want) and is way prettier than the one i had in Canada!

  8. Tell me about it…I spent all of yesterday running around, moving wet clothes from this radiator to the next. I miss my big front loading dryer back home avec bounty dryer sheets….*sniffffffffff*
