Zanzara & the Serpente

Okay, I’ll admit, I haven’t quite learned my lesson yet and no Sarah, I have not made the trip to IKEA yet either.

After several days of loping around in the sun and catching my breath I finally decided to tackle the yard a bit. It’s truly a jungle up here and yesterday I found the shed skin of a snake to prove it. But as usual I left my camera in the city and cannot share this momentous occasion with you (I’ll bet you’re just a bit happy about that too).

Needless to say, my face now has 9 pretty red dots that seem to be getting bigger by the minute. I think the mosquitoes like my sunscreen. I tried those plug-in thingy’s for nighttime but couldn’t breathe for the stink of it. I’m itchy, scratchy and grumpy not to mention a bit hideous looking with all these red dots! So I will keep this post short because I am on my way to the pharmacy to find a bug repellent for my face and IKEA for that much-needed mosquito net for the bed…wish me luck!
