The retired mermaid

Four days of wedded bliss! Well, not really. Not if you count the day or so of getting over jet lag and the evening I spent curled up in the fetal position after a spicy lunch at the Thai Lotus in Nassau. But hey, 2 out of 4 ain’t so bad.

I used to pride myself on my nomad mermaid status of never getting seasick, but it seems that I have finally lost my sea legs for good! This only saddens me a bit because now I am officially in the ranks of all the other passengers wobbling about in the corridors with a green pallor in desperate hopes of keeping down my breakfast.

There are white paper bags taped to the walls near the elevators. These bags are actually labeled “Vomit bags”…like we would stop to make sure?

These snow storms along the Eastern coast are having quite an effect on the present conditions and I have no idea what may be in store for me tomorrow when I head to Canada via Buffalo. I smell a misadventure in my future! Better pack some woolies in the carry-on : )

Funny sidebar: “Woolies” on spellcheck comes up “Coolies”…which in Canadian terms means cold beer…should I read between the lines and also put beer in my carry-on?
