Let it snow!

Can you see the snow falling on my blog? How cool is that? We don’t get much snow here in Genoa although last January we did get enough for 24 hours that my photographer friend Elora (Blog: A Canadian Living in Italy) was able to snap this a great picture on my banner of the boats covered in snow along the seaside.

In a few weeks I will be heading overseas again. This will be the first time in 9 years that I will be in Canada for Christmas. I checked online today for the weather in Toronto and it’s zero degrees! No wonder I have waited 9 years!

Anyways, I am looking forward to some real Canadian snow and bundling up in front of a warm fireplace with hot chocolate and marshmallows (another thing Italy doesn’t have). I’m also looking forward to an old fashioned turkey dinner. It’s almost impossible to find a turkey here. I suppose that if Mama got a hold of one she wouldn’t have a clue what to do with it!

So, I will tote my laptop to Canada and continue to blog while stuffing my face with turkey and shoving bags of mini-marshmallows into my suitcase to bring back to Italy. Many thanks to my friend Elora for the cool photo…keep them coming : )
