It’s going on 7 p.m. and I am STILL UNPACKING! It is, quite frankly, a small miracle that I have allowed my mother in law to live this long. I am guessing that she must be super excited to have me home because she has spent most of the day under my feet. For some reason she thought today would be a good day to line the shelves in my wardrobe with fancy paper…I could give you a graphic picture of how this all unfolded but I will let you use your imagination because that’s more fun for me.
To give you an idea of how things are going here let me just say that I have not washed my hair since Thursday and well, it’s getting a bit scary. So if we are Skyping anytime soon I will do us all a favour and leave the webcam off. I have 3 empty suitcases and a pile of clothes still remaining on the sofa. Will it ever end?
The good news is that my cat seems to like the catnip I brought back from Canada. I know what you’re thinking, what is it with Canadians and their weed? For the record we are not all snowboarding hippies that like to get high. I was actually nervous packing catnip in my suitcase because it looks a lot like pot. I thought it would be just my dumb luck to get hauled into the Italian Customs office and asked to explain (in Italian of course) why it was so important that I should want to get my cat stoned. Actually, that would have been a very funny blog post should it have occurred.
So, I have located the catnip, the presents for family and friends and of course the 3 pounds of maple fudge. Now if I can just locate another bottle of Vermentino, a bottle of shampoo and a hairbrush I will be all set!
