There’s a booming orange sun blasting it’s rays into my window this morning. Let me start by saying that I am not exactly a morning person. I grunt and groan for the first hour and prefer that no one speaks to me until I have at least washed my face and downed a quart of orange juice or hot tea.
My dad and my brother both wake up very early whistling with enthusiasm for a brand new day. I have never acquired this “chirpy outlook” until recently. Now don’t get me wrong, I still prefer to pull the covers over my head and burrow down under a warm duvet than scuttle across a cold, damp floorboard in search of hot coffee. But, due to early flights and Immigration requirements on board the ship, I have no choice but to rise and shine as they say, at the crack of dawn.
The ship I am on requires me to go through US Immigration twice a week at 6 a.m. Every time I wake up for these duties I drag myself out of bed at the very last second with personal promises to slide right back into my bed the second I am “cleared by customs” like a 40 oz. of vodka is someones suitcase.
But today, I opened the blinds and sat in front of my computer for a quick email check and there it was! This orange blaze shining like a beacon into my window.
So the older I get, the more I realize that perhaps my dad and brother have known something all along…to watch the sun rise is a beautiful thing, and a brand new day is always a welcome site even if yesterday was already pretty terrific!
Sure…can you tell me something about your place in Sorrento? Maybe write a short description of it with photos…I can post a link to?
I love Sorrento, it is quite beautiful!
