Well here it is! The infamous TIGER COAT! Left behind in Canada once again.
Laugh all you want, but this is one of the warmest coats I’ve ever owned. It took a lot of teddy bears to make this coat!
In 1990, I was waiting at a Toronto bus shelter in -25C windchill and decided that I was no longer going to freeze my butt off. I marched downtown to the Eaton’s Center, which was then one of the largest shopping malls in Canada, and bought this coat. Faux furs were all the rage and this one had my name written all over it. (I’m a closet eccentric, just like my mom, what can I say?)
Rumour has it that after I left my dad’s house the coat made an appearance at my sister’s house and there it shall stay for yet another year or so. In the meantime, Nick, my sister’s partner in crime has opted to take it out for a spin come Halloween! Have fun Nicky! I will be there in Spirit, I promise.
