I’ll be the first to admit that I honestly don’t know a twit from a twat. In fact, in my day a twit was a stupid person (I know this because my loving big brother has often referred to me in this loving way) and a twat…well I probably shouldn’t say because it’s a bit rude and my dad reads this blog.
For the last several years I have been living under a palm tree or in the middle of the sea. And now that I live in Italy I am rediscovering the Internet in all it’s endless possibilities. Coming back to the city, I feel like a country bumpkin learning the streets all over again. I had no idea that you could download tv shows to your computer (even my dad probably knew this)! Now that I have a new laptop I will never learn Italian! I will just be online all night twittering away instead of studying, but first I have to figure out exactly what a twitter is and with any luck I will graduate to the next level of genius and learn all about widgets and Harry Potter books.
I used to think it was cute that 2 years ago my husband didn’t know what an iPod was. I thought to myself how could someone not know this? He needs me just to keep current in the world of technology and now I realize with my fancy new laptop that I’ve got some catching up to do myself.
Who ever said you can’t teach an old dog new tricks?
